What is so special about this coffee culture that is making waves and racking moolah? Cafes are mushrooming like hot cakes every where. It is high time people be quality selective about cafe ambience and food. Most times I have noticed is that either food has no substance or the ambience is too sub-standard.
I am a coffee person and I have been at different cafes of varying positioning levels and I not been too happy.
Just the other day I happened to be at a cafe that is part of a well known hotel in Indore. The name plate looked as if it was designed in a huff and was ashamed of itself. Upon entering the cafe it looked too distant and like a gawky teenager unsure whether it should invite you or just stay put. The menu card didn’t even have a mention about coffee or tea! The list was all about sandwiches and burgers. What a representation! I just asked for cold coffee at the counter and they simply nodded. After some time I got my order – I simply drank at one go and wished to head out of the door.
So much of our coffee culture! I lament!
